THE HISTORY OF THE CIRCLE

It was in the merry month of May 1993 that Cambridge Shamanic Circle first arranged to meet. The three original founding members had taken the Basic Workshop, offered by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. Afterwards they met each other at Gloucester Circle, then held at the home of the late and much-loved shamanic healer and poet Linda Crane. After a while they decided to start a circle, which would be nearer to their own homes.

Since then the Circle has gradually grown in strength, health, and numbers. We have also welcomed people from every part of the Greater Boston area and surrounding countryside. Some folks have even commuted from the neighboring states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Others have visited from other parts of the country, and indeed the planet!
